I became a lifeguard at the age of 14. At a local facility, I began teaching group lessons, private lessons and adult swim lessons. Quickly I learned the reason individualized lessons were so important. Private lessons provide a huge safety benefit, as each student is individually placed with an instructor. Each student is provided with the added benefit to cater to their needs and provide more emphasis on items that they need help with during the lesson. Lessons are much more geared towards learning and less geared towards having fun, although, we do have lots of fun! During my previous group lesson setting, I found that students would have class for 30 minutes, but only get to be in the pool with the instructor around 5-6 minutes per class. For this reason, my business has been built on the sole purpose of providing private individualized swim lessons, as we want to first guarantee the upmost safety for each and every student, but we also want these students to learn the most they can in their allotted time period so we can ensure their well-being around water!

Each lesson will be 25 minutes. Consistency is crucial to not only the learning process, but also with retention of those learned skills. Bringing your child to the assigned dates and times will increase the rate of progress and retention of skills. You are paying for a time slot and it is important that you adhere to the attendance policy as there is most likely another student waiting for your child's time slot.
